Alberto Cruz goes national and wins!

Artist and Visual Art Center of Punta Gorda instructor Alberto Cruz won "Best in Show" at the National Art Celebration Show. This important yearly event was sponsored by the Art League of Fort Myers with the cooperation of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Hundreds of applicants nationwide were invited to apply, and only 50 artists were juried-in to participate. The Show was open to the public from October 1st to the 31st, 2011.

Alberto Cruz won the highest award with "Equestrian Composition" (shown above), one of his latest creations of "abstract surrealism" executed in acrylics on canvas.
